Our client is a vertically integrated manufacturer of PV cells, modules and
custom-designed solar power applications and has 10.000 employees
around the world. The company is one of the fastest growing companies in
the industry and has subsidiaries in North-America, Europe and Asia.
For this company, we are looking for a "Utility Projects Sales Manager
EMEA" who will facilitate sales activities in the large-scale utility PV projects
segments. This includes advisory in terms of bankability and financing
schemes as well as the presentation of our client's products to potential
customers.
Your tasks will include
Bankability assurance
- Advise partners (e.g. EPCs, investors) on bankable financing
arrangements, monitor the compilation of the bankability tools
- Establish and maintain relationships with all leading PV financing
partners (debt and equity side) and promote the company's merits;
coordinate any required action
Sales enhancement to utility-scale projects
- Identify collaboration opportunities with project developers, EPCs and
investors (debt and equity), to set-up a commercial framework to
enhance the company's sales on utility-scale projects
- Formulate collaboration proposals with key players (developers / EPCs,
utilities, insurances and funds, here equity co-investors)
- Negotiate the sale of the modules within the defined collaboration
framework to facilitate the closing of module supply
- Originate and execute the sale of utility-scale solar PV projects within
global investor community including the buy-side of these projects such
as utilities, insurances / re-insurances and funds including private equity,
venture capital, high net-worth individuals, family offices and foundations
- Represent the company's brand to commercial banks and equity coinvestors
- Create awareness and demand for the company's products and/or
services
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and policies and external
regulation; document financial processes and ensure high data accuracy
- Manage company's financial risks involved in the sales process
- Ensure compliance to internal procedures and policies and external
regulation and standards
The desired qualifications are
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or comparable
education; Master’s degree is a plus
- Two or more years of experience in PV, renewable energy industry or
alternatively at financial institutions (banks/funds); PV project finance
experience preferred, including equity and debt financing
- Good MS Office skills
- High commitment and flexibility
- Result-driven approach and ability to work autonomously
- Proactive attitude, high initiative to take on challenges and excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills
- High reliability and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent teamwork, communication and intercultural skills
- High flexibility and willingness/ability to travel (estimated 50%) to
customers, financial institutions, solar fairs and sponsored sport events
- German and English spoken fluently is a must; additional languages are
a plus
