With subsidiaries in North America, Europe and Asia, our client secures high
level quality as well as cost-efficient and ecologically compatible solar
solutions to ensure sustainable development.
For this company, we are looking for a "Senior Finance and Accounting
Manager Europe" who will report to the Global Finance Director. This
position will lead a small team of finance/accounting specialists.
Your tasks will include
Regional budget
- Elaborate a detailed budget tool including the new local inventory annual
and quarterly for approval
- Define a monthly monitoring process and report/ensure compliance
M&A and special requests
- Elaborate financial assessments on acquisitions
- Any other finance-related ad-hoc project for the Global Finance Director
or other members of the management team
SOX
- Take responsibility for maintaining robust internal control processes,
including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements as designed by the
company
Cash-flow control
- Define and maintain a cash-flow control; ensure the efficiency of
expenditures
- Closely monitor the cash-flow related to the local inventory
- Ensure corporate and regulatory compliance
Accounting and taxation
- Optimize the control of our client's corporate and customs taxations
through sister companies
- Ensure corporate and regulatory compliance in both accounting and
taxation
Credit and collection
- Manage credit enhancement facilities (e.g. export financing schemes)
and take a lead in their implementation
- Development and set-up of new local credit enhancements with local
vendors
The desired qualifications are
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or comparable
education
- Ten or more years of professional experience; at least three years of
experience in managing/supervising other finance staff
- In-depth knowledge in finance, accounting, controlling, budgeting,
taxation, credit management, reporting/auditing and related fields
- Advanced skills in MS Excel; knowledge in DATEV is a plus
- Proactive attitude, strong initiative to take on challenges and good
problem-solving skills
- Good analytical and organizational skills; reliable and structured working
style
- Eagerness to learn and develop individual competencies
- High commitment and flexibility
- Excellent leadership, teamwork, communication and intercultural skills
- Fluency in English and German; Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus as well as
other European languages
